Building Defect Inspection Reports
Get to the root of the problem with our special-purpose reports
Damage and defects appear over time – it’s something that can’t usually be predicted or prevented.
If you’ve noticed some unexplained issues appearing, or if we come across any while conducting an inspection, we may need to perform a special-purpose inspection to work out what the problem is, and how to fix it.
You will be provided with all the information you need to remedy any defects, or for use as documentary evidence when dealing with builders, trade contractors, insurers or the QBCC.
What does the inspection cover?
Areas covered by our Building Defect Inspection Reports include:
- Swimming Pools
What will I receive?
- Specialist report – in plain English
- Photos documenting all defects
- Advice on what needs repairing
Your personalised Building Defect Inspection Report will help you describe defects and give weight to the credibility of your claims, especially if you are taking any kind of legal action or negotiation to remedy the issues.
Inspections are usually non-invasive, although sometimes an invasive inspection is required. Once we are onsite, you will have the opportunity to show us the defects and discuss what you need to achieve from the report.
You will need to sign an Inspection Agreement with our mutually agreed scope and limitations prior to compiling the report.
